At Petit Enfants, you can see one of the best examples of the Montessori philosophy in action. Encouraging a child to learn on his/her own terms, in a  hands on setting that triggers the love for learning is the core concept of our Montessori program. As the child gets introduced to new themes and concepts in a customized environment, learning becomes as easy as breathing and the child’s innate curiosity takes over. He/she then learns to function independently, and develop scientific and critical thinking abilities, working with our Montessori material. Children discover that studying is not a drudgery anymore, but a fun and interactive way to learn about life itself. This develops character, social skills, decision-making abilities and independence.

Throughout this journey of self-discovery, the child’s sensory perceptions and stimuli are enhanced in our specially designed classroom. Our Montessori teacher is more a friend than a teacher at this stage, guiding the child as he/she navigates the exciting world of Practical Life, Sensory Perceptions, Math, Culture, Science and Social Skills.
